Sheathed

Mother Nature: not cooperating this summer.

Pete: amazingly persistent.

Me: hoping my husband doesn't break his neck while slipping around on wet plywood 30 feet in the air.

House: sheathed.

Next up - felt on the roof. That should keep water from getting down into the garage. Then, felt on the sides, windows, roof, and siding.

We need to work out final details of windows, skylights, wood stove pipe, and heating ducts.

Sheathing with a Twist

Doesn't this look like fun? Every once in a while a breeze would come up and expose Pete under the tarp, working away. He kept asking me to check the forecast, looking up at blue skies this afternoon. Unfortunately, it's supposed to rain more tonight and tomorrow - weather.com is being very stubborn about that... so the tarp has to stay.

Tarped Again

It was very kind of Mother Nature to send us a rain storm this weekend. Real rain. Pete and Graham spent a couple hours last night building a tarp structure. We had a few leaks, but not too bad. Pete, my very determined husband, is spending the day sheathing the roof under the tarp. I doesn't look like very pleasant work.
